Visual Identity and communication for the 34th edition of the Amadora BD international comics festival.
Amadora BD is one of Portugal’s leading comics and graphic arts festivals, held annually in the city of Amadora. It celebrates comic books, illustration, and visual storytelling by bringing together national and international artists, publishers, and fans through exhibitions, talks, workshops, and book launches.

The City
The poster presents the city of Amadora as a city of comics, but also as a “Metropolis” adapted to the local context.
This is conveyed both through the people, the readers, and through the landscapes, which in the foreground depict more typical scenes of Amadora, while the background introduces a fantastical layer that alludes to the skyscrapers of “Metropolis”.
